Dear Parents, Teaching students and working with their parents for over 10 years, many parents have asked me countless times how to help this generation of children & teens as parents. Well, here are some great sources for you to know what is going through a teen’s mind and how to deal with their “reality”. My daughter just started Kindergarten and I was anxious already about teen issues that she will face (in 6 years) already, and ordered all these books & audio books (and more) over the summer to be proactive about all issues. They were so amazing that I started reading out (and playing the audio books) to my students during my advisory, and many of them empathized with most of the topics (especially the 6 M I Decisions and the chapter on “Friends”). If you don’t have time to read, many of them are available as audiobooks. Remember that teens love to listen to their I-POD, and all these audiobooks can be downloaded right onto them. That’s how I reviewed most of these books. The 6 Most Important Decisions You’ll Ever Make for Teens by Sean Covey is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for you AND your teen because the issues discussed are so real to my students. Enjoy! Sincerely, Mrs. Nicole Kim PS. Stay in tune for more resources! Healthy minded teens will make our future bright!
